Hennepin County Sheriff's Office dropped a fixed ALPR location from the state roster
OtherThe office's entry on the BCA license plate reader roster now lists a single fixed device location, Penn Avenue at 40th Street in Minneapolis, down from two. Fremont Avenue N. at Dowling Avenue N. in Minneapolis was removed. The state roster is vendor-neutral and covers every ALPR vendor, not only Flock.

Camera(s) removedThe portal's Total Cameras count dropped from 4 to 2. Everything else on the portal — 30-day retention, hotlist sources (NCMEC Amber Alert, MN BCA), and the acceptable use, prohibited use, access and hotlist policies — was unchanged from the previous snapshot (2026-07-29).
What does this mean?
The agency's camera count went down. Cameras may have been moved, decommissioned, or pulled after a pilot. A lower count does not by itself undo earlier data sharing, because plate reads already collected can stay on file until the 60-day destruction deadline in Minn. Stat. 13.824.
