The agency was added to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension's public list of law enforcement agencies that operate automated license plate readers. Minn. Stat. 13.824 requires agencies using ALPR to report that use to the BCA, including the locations of any stationary cameras, and the BCA must publish the roster. A new listing is often the earliest public sign that an agency has started using the technology, sometimes appearing before any transparency portal exists. The roster covers every ALPR vendor, not just Flock Safety, so a listing alone does not establish which system an agency uses.
